New guide and task group meets at the Provincial Physicians Health and Safety Summit

Events

SWITCH BC had the perfect opportunity to release its Community Physician Health and Safety Guide – a B.C. first – single source of truth for all workplace health and safety rules and regulations for community physicians and their staff.

The guide was shared at the Doctors of BC Provincial Physicians Health and Safety Summit 2024 in Vancouver. It’s the second year in a row our CEO presented updates of the work SWITCH BC, including the development of critical assets for the Community Physician Health and Safety program and the upcoming soft launch of the OHS Resource Centre.

Also at the summit, the Community Physician Health and Safety Task Group met for the second time to advise us on health and safety priorities. The discussion was facilitated by Jennifer Zadorozniak, our Community Physician Health and Safety program manager and Project Lead, Gerald Van De Ven.

Hearing directly from physicians and health leaders will help us develop the tools and resources they need to reduce the administrative tasks related to workplace health and safety and spend more time providing care to their patients.
