SWITCH BC at Quality Forum 2023

Events

With attendees from across British Columbia, the conversations and interactions at Quality Forum 2023 brought the theme of Connect, Energize, Achieve to life. With more than 1,000 participants, Health Quality BC’s (HQBC) annual event is one of the largest health quality conferences in Canada. Nurses, physicians, health care aides, paramedics, clinicians, policy and decision makers, senior executive team and board members, patient partners, quality improvement leaders, researchers, and students attended the conference.

SWITCH BC was proud to sponsor the conference and the documentary Caring Unmasked 2, which was screened at the conference. Through first-person accounts from people working in healthcare, interviewees shared the challenges they faced in the pandemic and discussed how we can move forward, creating hope in healthcare, together.

Conference sessions included combating misinformation in healthcare, technological advancements in care, and First Nations-led restorative approaches among the many topics. SWITCH BC’s Executive Director, Operations Ainsley Young moderated one of the sessions, One of a Kind! What an Interdisciplinary Allied Health Resource Team Can Accomplish.

At the SWITCH BC booth, we were honoured to speak with so many people and to encourage them to participate in engagement sessions and a questionnaire (June and July 2023) as we refresh the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC).

Learn more about the PVPC refresh and the engagement opportunities. We would love to hear from you!
