Tigran Bajgoric is SWITCH BC’s Project Director with more than 8 years program lead experience from Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC). Tigran is dedicated and passionate about health and safety in healthcare and believes strongly in caring for the people that care for us. He believes that safety is a value we must hold if we want embrace excellence in our work. Tigran also believes in the principle of making things simple and he lives that value by creating systems that integrate safety seamlessly into our everyday lives.

Tigran earned a Master of Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from McGill University and Bachelor of Science from UBC.

 When he’s not working, Tigran enjoys spending time outdoors with his two daughters, taking them camping, riding bikes around Richmond and spoiling them with ice cream.

Fun fact: Before Tigran became obsessed with health and safety, he travelled the world wielding a sword for Team Canada. Tigran was on the senior Canadian fencing team for over 10 years, medaling twice at Pan Am Games and multiple World Cups. Tigran officially retired from the sport in 2013.
