Matthew Rolheiser

Matthew is an educator with 20 years of post-secondary level experience teaching a variety of health sciences subjects including physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, and musculoskeletal injury prevention. Before moving to B.C., he was chair for one of the largest health care aide programs in Canada and worked in the Division of Preventive Medicine at the University of Alberta to create and deliver a course in occupational medicine for professional development for family physicians. He has a Master of Public Health in Environmental and Occupational Health, a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education After Degree. A life-long learner, his professional development includes courses in subjects such as customer service and communications, teaching, leadership, and health care (including completion of a first year of a Nursing diploma). Outside of work, Matthew can be found outside camping, cycling, skiing, and snowshoeing. Inside, he enjoys watching football and hockey, playing guitar, cooking, baking, and barbecuing.
