Silvio Almeida works in facility design and construction at Island Health and is a member of the Hospital Employees Union (HEU). Silvio’s most difficult time during the pandemic involved working around the clock to help assembled a temporary vaccination clinic site that opened the very next day. Silvio acknowledges being adaptable and agile on the job, especially when dealing with demanding work, are traits.
