SWITCH BC at Safety and Health Week 2026
SWITCH BC connected with hundreds of workers during Safety and Health Week events at Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). Our team was at PHSA’s Willingdon Atrium on May 5 and at BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital and Health Centre on May 8.

Health care workers who visited our booth included clinicians, security, and administrative staff. Many attendees were also members of joint occupational health and safety committees and our team shared information about the OHS Resource Centre now being rolled out at PHSA.

We had meaningful conversations at these events about our priority programs and the resources we offer for psychological health and safety, violence prevention, and community physician health and safety. We demonstrated how to use the OHS Resource Centre to workers and also provided safety lights and whistles, information cards and pens, and Engagemints.
About 100 workers shared their top health and safety concerns with us: the most frequently cited concern was psychological health and safety (70), followed by workplace violence (11), and musculoskeletal injuries (11), and other (8).

Thank you to PHSA for inviting us to attend Safety and Health Week events and to all the workers who stopped by our table to learn more about SWITCH BC.
