Clinic assessment data and presenting at the Provincial Physicians Health and Safety Summit

Events

SWITCH BC’s Community Physician Health and Safety (CPHS) program team attended the annual provincial Physician Health and Safety Summit in Vancouver in early April, hosted by Doctors of BC. During last year’s Safety Summit, we released the Community Physician Health and Safety Guide and in 2025 we promoted clinic assessments and the completion of the CPHS portal.

Director, Operations, Jennifer Zadorozniak, co-presented with Dr. Sujatha Nilavar, a member of the Doctors of BC Oversight Group, to provide a physician perspective on completing a clinic assessment and the web portal content to develop a comprehensive health and safety program. Attendees were also able to view a related research poster featuring clinic visit data such as pre-assessment challenges, barriers to implementation, and post-assessment improvements; highlights also include a 95% overall clinic assessment satisfaction rate.

Attending the summit allowed the team to increase awareness of the CPHS program, build strategic partnerships, and learn from other initiatives. These insights will inform future planning and help address current needs in the healthcare community.

SWITCH BC extends sincere thanks to Doctors of BC for hosting and facilitating such a meaningful and engaging event.
