Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) is Occupational Health and Safety at HSA’s OHS Conference
We had the opportunity to connect with more than 80 Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) members at Health Sciences Association (HSA) Occupational Health and Safety Conference in Vancouver. The theme, Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) is Occupational Health and Safety, provided the perfect venue to give a sneak peek of our new PHS Toolkit for JOHSCs which is currently being piloted.
SWITCH BC CEO, Victoria Schmid, welcomed the attendees and provided an overview of the OHS Resource Centre and the PHS Toolkit for JOHSCs.
SWITCH BC Director, Operations, Caitlin Grisack, led a successful breakout session where she gave a walkthrough of the PHS Toolkit for JOHSCs and gave access to the password protected sections that only pilot participants can currently see. This encouraged JOHSC members to visit our information booth, ask questions, and sign up for the pilot.
We were delighted when Honourable Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Labour, visited our booth. Minister Whiteside was key in the development of SWITCH BC, and we are incredibly grateful to her.
