Connecting with rural medical professionals at the Rural Health Conference in Prince George

Events

SWITCH BC’s Community Physician Health and Safety (CPHS) program team attended the 2025 Rural Health Conference in Prince George—a key gathering of rural and remote physicians from across the province from June 6-8, 2025. This event provided an important opportunity to connect directly with rural medical professionals who work in some of B.C.’s most remote practice settings.

Building on the momentum from the 2024 release of the Community Physician Health and Safety Guide, our team focused on promoting in-clinic assessments and supporting physicians to complete the CPHS portal. We showcased our CPHS research poster, highlighting data from 45 participating clinics—such as a 96% satisfaction rate with the clinic assessment process. At our booth, we had valuable conversations about clinic safety, operational challenges, and practical strategies for improvement.

We thank the conference organizers for hosting such an engaging and impactful event.
