Congratulations to the 2025 UBC School of Population and Public Health Roberta Ellis Award winner: Stephanie Wu!
Winner
Stephanie offers a unique and valuable perspective on occupational health and safety, shaped by her experience as a Registered Nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has advanced workplace safety through research on hazardous drug exposures, collaboration with the Canadian Standards Association, and investigations of silica exposure in mining operations, and is now pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene at UBC. As an emerging leader, she actively participates in the AIHA BC-Yukon chapter and mentors incoming students through various initiatives.
