Wayne Balshin

Wayne Balshin is Vice President, People at Vancouver Coastal Health. Wayne and his team aim to create welcoming and inclusive spaces where everyone matters and feels valued, respected, and supported. Wayne advocates for the success and wellbeing of unionized and excluded staff by supporting progressive, people-first initiatives and encouraging collaborative partnerships with the Ministry of Health, other health authority partners, and community partners.

As a member of the law society of BC and a graduate of Osgood Hall York University, Wayne has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in the areas of human resources, labour relations, and work design/compensation.
