Carolina has 17 years of experience in healthcare as a physician in Brazil working in both emergency and ambulatory settings. She has worked in various hospitals and medical clinics, performing upper and lower endoscopy procedures, and treating patients with a range of gastrointestinal diseases.
Carolina moved to Canada four years ago and has recently embarked on a meaningful journey into occupational health and safety, becoming passionate about promoting a healthier and safer work environment for health care workers. In this journey, she has completed the Occupational Health and Safety Diploma from the British Institute of Technology (BCIT) and earned a prestigious award from BCIT for her capstone project that focused on safety in healthcare settings.
Outside of work, she loves to stay physically active through hiking, biking, and running. She is a mom of two who enjoys cooking and hosting friends.
